As I was sitting here feeling extremely guilty for not blogging and getting a newsletter out in a timely fashion, I went back to the message on Sunday and was filled with peace as I was reminded that "He Knows". He knows our struggles our downfalls, and our failures. Danny read from John Chapter 5 this past Sunday about the cripple man that lay by the pool. The scripture reads" When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, " (John 5:6 KJV) Jesus knew his infirmities, just as he knows ours. He knows all. It is refreshing to know we have a Father that knows all.
He knows right now, this instant what you are going through and what your struggles are and I challenge you today to go to him, to submit and turn(from the old life), to start a new, just like the cripple man, take up your bed and walk and do not look back at the old life, but rejoice in the NEW. It is hard for us to submit to a power greater than us. It is hard to change on our own. But with his help, it can be done. The great stories you hear about people getting to rock bottom or like the one in John Chapter 5, about Jesus healing this cripple man. It's a little easier to change when it's apparent what God has done or when we are at rock bottom and there is no where to go but up. But God wants you... He wants you just as you are. Make a choice to be his, don't wait till you are at rock bottom or sick or on your deathbed. He wants you now so that you can enjoy a new life with him !!! I personally have been burdened with lot's of doctor's visits lately and waiting and dealing with some things unknown to me. Waiting on tests can be tiring and oppressing, but I stand firm that God Knows, he knows all and will carry us through all things. Between that and school and work and ministry, I have been extremely busy, but with God's grace, I hope to get back on top of things and get a newsletter out for April/May and more blogging !! Because I must tell you, God is good !!!! and he is doing amazing things here in St Pete !!!! God Bless and please keep praying for us. |
