Calm the Storm

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul
It is well with my soul,
It is well, it is well with my soul.....


John chapter 6:16 begins the story of the disciples being in a boat in a great storm and as they are frightened and scared, Jesus is there and calms the storm. 

A good reminder is that Jesus is in your life to calm your storm, all you have to do is trust him, ask him and seek him and his peace. Just as the author penned above, sometimes we have to seek peace in our storm and be ok with it. Have you ever heard the saying, "it is what it is"?  Sometimes we must put our faith into practice and just stand firm in the storm, trust and know that he is with us and claim "it is well with my soul".
